What makes Battle Woman different?
The Battle Woman® program stands apart because its philosophy is rooted in the belief that self-defense extends far beyond physical training. Assault prevention requires preparation, planning and practice, therefore it's critical to provide the opportunity for skill development and confidence building as early and as often as possible.
We teach interchangeable physical and mental tools that can be used in a variety of different situations. This includes, for example, learning to use your voice to set boundaries, personal awareness and threat assessment strategies, along with the technical training derived from multiple disciplines.
Created with a woman’s body in mind, each skill is tested to ensure its effectiveness across a wide range of abilities including those with physical limitations or injuries. Dynamic and unpredictable by nature, real world self-defense requires us to be adaptive to the environment, which means our strategies are not prescriptive. Students are encouraged to explore the what if scenarios and make adjustments to capitalize on their own personal strengths.

What if I have physical limitations?
Training is designed to benefit participants regardless of skill level or physical limitation. We recommend that you contact us prior to your first session to discuss your specific needs or concerns.
Is one class enough?
Although, ongoing training is recommended, one workshop is a great introduction to the "travel light" tools, including fundamental rules of awareness and threat assessment. Further, you will leave with practical skills that you can use immediately.
Will I get to work on the scenario of my choosing?
Beginner classes and workshops are designed to introduce concepts, including basic strikes, kicks and ballistic moves. It is possible that a student will get to learn something in their area of interest, but not a guarantee.
